The event invitation. The first your audience gets to know of the event you have so carefully crafted, and the first impression they will get about the event and your client.
To ensure everything from design and structure to content and links exudes professionalism, we have gathered some tips from the Momice event professionals, on how to set up and maximise the positive power of this key event tool.
The Right Frame
Pay attention to the email header, it is the first thing your attendees see. And it’s not just about looking good, your header must have meaning and immediately explain the most important information. Include an image, logo and the name and date of the event. Your footer completes the image and provides a clear ‘end’ to your email, so use this space for contact information and/or an unsubscribe link.
Clear Instructions
The number 1 goal of your invitation, and follow up emailers, is to get people to your event, so tell them how to take part. Create a clear Call-to-Action (CTA) button in a striking colour using short instructions. Don’t try and get your attendees to do too many things at once, so include on 1 CTA per email.
Keep It Visual
Visual appeal is key and is created through headers, colours, images and horizontal lines. People are unlikely to read long chunks of text, so focus on visual elements to increase the chance of registration.
