Getting The Most Out Of Momice Online

Many of our customers are now using Momice Online to plan their hybrid and online events. Their experiences have provided us with valuable feedback which we have compiled in an FAQ list below:

Technical production – Who does what?

Momice Online provided a clear division of roles between what the organiser needs to do and what the Momice software does.

The organiser’s role:
Video streaming software (Zoom / MS Teams / Vimeo) integrated into the Momice platform:

  • Streaming software allows you to integrate the streaming link into your Momice online program, which allows participants to go from the program page directly to the streaming link.
  • If your event is broadcast from a studio or office with cameras, you can show this stream on the event website. From the live stream page, participants can also participate in the interaction by submitting viewer questions and answering polls such as statements and open questions.
  • After a session has ended, participants can provide feedback and go directly to the next part of the program based on their registration.

The Momice software role:

  • Send an invitation
  • Automate the registration process
  • E-mail the event-participation link
  • Create an event website for participants
  • Check participant in and out of the event
  • Create program pages with links to live stream sessions
  • Create a live stream page in which the stream is shown
  • Simulate audience interaction through a chat, viewer questions or polls
  • Provide instant feedback on the session
  • Measure event results using an attendee survey
Branding and design – What options are available?

Momice is 100% white label, so you can use your brand look and feel to design mails, event website, livestream page and the results of the interaction page.

Can you broadcast multiple streams at the same time?

Yes, you can, by including a livestream link for each part of the program.

Are there additional costs with multiple streams?

No, with the Momice interaction module, one event credit allows you to create as many program components as you need.

Is there a delay on the streams?

Yes, when the stream is embedded with software like Vimeo, Youtube or Webex, there is always a delay between broadcasting and receiving. If an embedded code is used as with MS Teams, there is no delay.

MS Team – Is it possible to embed MS Teams in this platform?

No. MS Teams does not have the embed code needed for the live stream page. Instead, participants will automatically go to the MS Teams app on their device from the program page. If this doesn’t suit your needs, MS Stream does offer an embed code, which can be shown on the livestream page.

Can I manage participant accreditation with Momice Online?

Yes. Momice automatically checks participants in as soon as they click on the program section, and can see if they are still in the stream. If a participant is absent, they are automatically checked-out. Participation data is displayed in an export file and can be used when assigning accreditation points.

Can I see who participated and for how long?

Yes, from the day of your event, you can use the online registration overview to see who checked in and who did not.

What is the maximum number of participants?

The capacity per livestream depends on the program and the number of features you want to use. This can be thousands of participants, so let us guide you on the best options to ensure a smooth event.

How secure is a private session?

If a program part is ‘private’, only participants who have registered for the event can participate from the personal link in the email. The event website recognizes the participant and they can enter the stream if they are allowed access. A recipient can also enter the live stream if the personal link has been forwarded.

How do breakout sessions work?

To divide participants over several break-outs during the event, create a separate program part for each break-out, with a livestream link per program part. Using their (personal) program page, participants can navigate to the correct program components themselves.

Use a workshop question in the registration form as a tool to manage the division into break-outs. Create multiple breakout sessions for participants to register for and include a live stream link for MS Teams, Zoom or Vimeo.

How does check-in and out work?

With Momice event registration, you can see who attended the event and who did not. Momice automatically checks in a participant when they click on their personal link, and also ensures they are checked in separately for each part of the program. Participants are checked out when returning to the program page or closing the browser. The online registration overview allows you to see exactly who checked in and who did not show up.

Exciting software developments include an Excel export of participant check-in and check-out, as well as live audience counts during the stream.

Can I share files with participants?

Yes, Momice offers an attachment or knowledge page where you can share presentations, blogs, whitepapers, videos and podcasts.

Can I easily let my participants view a past event?

Yes, but only if the organizer records the live stream and uploads the video to a platform such as Vimeo or Youtube. The video can be offered in 2 ways:

  1. Embed the Youtube videos on the Momice video page.
  2. On the knowledge page, you can also share Vimeo (or another video platform) videos.
Does Momice provide a backup of the live stream?

No, the live stream or AV partner must provide a backup of the live stream.

Can I link Momice Online to my CRM?

Yes, Momice has a link in the Salesforce App Exchange. For other CRM or Marketing automation systems a tailor-made link may be required. Contact us for help with this.
